Looking for info on Spink family that treated their son for a chemical inbalance that looked like the symtoms of CP

I am researching a case in UK - The family was the Spinks (Mother:Henrietta).
Their son had the phsical symtoms of MD or Cerabal aulsey, but they
found out that it was infact a chemical imbalance. We are trying to find out more about
the treatment they used - any info would be much appreciated.
