I am writing for my son who is 8 years old. He was born with cp and we told by his doctors that he would NEVER walk, talk, and he was to be retarded. Both my husband and myself were devestated.We enrolled him in early intervention programs at 11 months old and he has gotten all therapies to help him with his physical disabilites. He is now in special ed and his IQ is average, but we think he is much smarter.(he's got them fooled)He is able to walk with some difficulty and is able to speak with some difficluty.He works very hard in school and has alot of friends. After reading your bio it has given us a sense that if you want to do something you can if you put your mind to it. This is something we try to instill in Louis. I hope when he is 17 or 18 he has the attitude that you have. I hope you accomplish everything in your life that you want to. You are truly an inspiration to all of. Keep up the good work!!
