Name: Eugene Moffett
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

My name is Eugene Moffett, I live in Albuquerque New Mexico where I am enrolled in a local community college earning a degree in paralegal studies.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy, I have a mixed type of cp, but luckily I was born into a family that didn't care that I have a disability. I was given chores to do just like my brothers and sister, if I didn't do my duties I was in trouble; but I have to admit that I received special attention due to my cp.

I never attended conventional schools, from grades 1 through 12 my teachers came to my home, however, my grades were good enough to be accepted into a University. As I stated above, I'm am studying to become a paralegal, but I did graduate from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Political Science.

I am 38 years old, still single but hoping. I am in a wheelchair, I can't feed myself very well and I have a speech impediment; although my impediment is not serve because I am writing this biography on a voice activated computer.

Although I am growing older, and cannot do some of the activities that I was able to do when I was younger; I still seek out challenges just to conquer them. When I am told that I can't do something because of my cp, I do it anyway just because I am so stubborn; I have never backed down from a challenge and I'm not going to start now.

I enjoy music, especially old rock n roll, movies and sports. I am no genius my no means but I can hold a decent conversation on just about any subject.

Being out of school for a little while, I was on the web when I happened to come across this page. I have been wanting to talk to someone who I can share some ideas with, or just someone to shoot the bull with.

According to my philosophy about "disabilities", I am not disabled but merely inconvenienced. I am not angry about having cp, hey it allowed me to attend college, so I figure what's the big deal. I have no sympathy for those people who cannot adjust to their disability, no matter what it may be, I feel that those people are making it tougher on those of us that's trying to negate the stereotypes which society has placed upon us. As for me, I take life one day at a time, because if one what looks at life logically, that's all we can do.

If anyone out there shares my ideas, or if they have an opposing philosophy or as I stated above, someone just wants to talk feel free to contact me. Through my many years, I have encountered just about everything that a disabled person can; I have always said that if what I had to go through in my live should inspire someone to say to themselves, "If that guy can do it, then I can". If I can do this for someone, then all of my problems that I had to deal with, I can then be satisfied.

As I stated above, if anyone wants to contact me, please feel free. My email address is eugene@highfiber.com.
